Tarantism Acoustic

Tarantism Acoustic is the stripped down line up of the band Tarantism which was formed by Mel Rogers and Magnus Martin in 1995. They have great original material and strong vocals mixed with dance and traditional folk.

Tarantism Acoustic will be taking to the Green Dragon Solar Stage for our Friday Night Dance at Summer Gathering 2023. This is a chance to unwind and land and meet everyone.

Following on from the critically acclaimed “Memory of Love’ in 2017 which explored in depth the folkcollection of the poet John Clare they are working on a new album with an English/Appallachian feel.

Their current line up boasts the addition of Rhiannon Crutchley, (who performs solo as ‘The Brewers Daughter”) on fiddle and vocals. Magnus Martin plays guitar, bass drum and sings, Mel Rogers is on lead vocals and Irish whistles. The sound they make between the three of them is both raw and emotional andup beat and life affirming.
